Armando “Mando” Antonino

President

The President represents and advocates for all students and their needs with faculty, staff, administration, and government leaders. Within ASWSUV, the President oversees the Executive Branch.

Office Hours:

Evans Kaame

Vice President

I am Evans Kaame, a senior this year! I major in political science and minor in business administration and communications. I serve my second term as ASWSUV vice president on our campus. I value student advocacy–a reason I am serving my fellow Cougs. We advocate for student needs and welfare both in our campus and in the state legislature.In my leisure time, I enjoy going for runs as well as playing basketball. Additionally, I like going for hikes along the creeks, lakes, and waterfalls. More importantly, I love spending quality time with family and friends. 

BrookLynn Smith

Chief of Staff

Hello, my name is BrookLynn Smith! I applied for this position because I care about WSUV and its students, and I wanted to help make it a better place. I am currently a senior Finance major, and after I graduate, I hope to move to Arizona and become a financial analyst. During my free time I like to hike, play volleyball, travel, and try new foods.

Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Hello Everyone! I am a senior majoring in psychology and minoring in communications. I am the Director of Diversity, Equity, and inclusion for ASWSUV, which means I promote diversity awareness around campus. I do this by supporting diversity-related events and programs; and working to enhance the campus climate for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Michael Johnson

Director of Leadership Development

My name is Michael Johnson and I’m a sophomore here at WSUV that’s majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I am currently serving my first term as the Director of Leadership Development at ASWSUV and want to do whatever I can to get more involved on campus and help others join in as well. During my free time I enjoy building plastic model kits and playing video games!

Jacob Buchner

Internal Director of Legislative Affairs

Hi, my name is Jacob, I’m a junior majoring in psychology! My job is to give students the opportunity to understand and get involved in the political world. I got into this role because I’m really passionate about politics and I want to show people why being civically engaged is so important and how it can actually be really interesting! I have a lot of interests including video games, TV, movies, books, podcasts, music, and, of course, politics! Really though, I can enjoy almost anything people can enjoy.

Magellan Rankins

Director of Campus and Community Outreach

The DCCO is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with various community and campus partners including but not limited to the Office of Development and Alumni Relations, the Graduate and Professional Student Association, Vancouver Chamber of commerce , and student clubs and organizations.  

The DCCO serves as the point of contact for gathering student opinions on various ASWSUV topics of discussion.
